Sarah & Nate

A mutual friend played matchmaker for Maison de Femmes bride Sarah and her groom Nate. "I had a crush on him for a year prior to us dating, but we were brought together by a mutual friend," she remembered. We sat down to chat about her gorgeous wedding—everything from gown, proposal and of course jewellery.

How did Nate propose to you?

We pride ourselves on our charcuterie boards so it only made sense that for the proposal he would plan a picnic with charcuterie board followed by a beach walk to a set up with champagne and flowers. I was not expecting the set up so told him it looked like the spot was taken when he was guiding me to sit down for the proposal haha.

Where is your stunning wedding gown from?

Alena Leena Bridal

Who was your photographer?

Pearce Brennan Photography (see the stunning images below!)

Who did your wedding flowers?

I did my own flowers! My company is Posy & Plum

What was your favourite part of the wedding?

The vows! We both value our words highly so it was so special to share our love in front of everyone that mattered.

What was your wedding theme?

My vision going into the wedding was classic english garden. I wanted to look back at the photos and feel like the stylistic choices I made were classy and timeless

Who did you want by your side in your wedding party?

My twin sister was my maid of honour and my other bridesmaids were my younger sister and my best friend of 10 years. They wore sleek black dresses that were individually chosen to compliment their unique style. They also wore the Comet Earrings but in sterling silver to compliment mine.

What Maison de Femmes jewellery did you choose for your bridal party?

Comet Earrings for me and my bridesmaids. I wanted a classy bridal look and love the elegance of pearls to elevate a look. I also loved that these particular pearls were unique in shape, size and colour. Made the jewellery feel extra special as an accessory for my wedding day.

What do you wish you could change about your wedding day?

How much I stressed in the days leading up to the big day! I am a bit of a control freak by nature haha and I thought that I had to have every detail co-ordinated by myself. But the day went perfectly and friends and family were so helpful in making sure I could have a stress free day and not have to worry about having all responsibility weigh on Nate and I.

Congratulations, Sarah and Nate!
