How did Jack propose to you?
After seven years of dating, we took a trip to Cradle Mountain in Tasmania last year, and Jack proposed! We were both so nervous (I had a feeling it would happen), but once it had happened, we were so happy and celebrated with a fancy dinner.
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Waking up next to my to-be-husband was the best start to the day. He cooked a delicious breakfast before we parted ways to get ready!
Another favourite part (but difficult) was having our bridal portraits on the mountain at Lake Lyall. It was so cold and windy, but we braved it all (including our legend of a photographer, Tim) to get some really beautiful shots that we know we'll treasure forever.
Finally, the dancefloor was definitely a crowd pleaser, along with stealing away to do shots of Tequila throughout the evening!
What was your wedding inspiration and theme?
Our theme was a mixture of rustic Australiana / Winter Wedding. It was the perfect vibe for our stunning venue, Seclusions Blue Mountains.
Who did you want by your side in your wedding party?
My sister Stephanie (maid of honour), Jo, Emma and Shanna were my beautiful bridesmaids. I wanted them to wear individualised outfits, so they all had different dresses in Olive green shades, which matched the theme perfectly. They then accessorised pearl-themed jewellery to match my earrings. They all looked amazing!
What Maison de Femmes jewellery did you choose for the big day?
I wore the Comet Earrings in sterling silver (I'm a silver-toned girly). I had been eyeing them off for months, and my fiance (now husband!) ended up purchasing them for me. I also loved seeing them on a real bride on the MDF website; that was really helpful.
I really love that the freshwater pearls are asymmetrical and organic - they perfectly matched my shiny wedding dress and pearl veil.
What do you wish you could change about your wedding day?
I'd definitely not leave so many things until the last minute, AND maybe even wait until Spring, so it was a tiny bit warmer hahaha…
Best wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness, Yasmin and Jack!
